Today Adobe announced the release of Creative Suite 6 which includes Photoshop CS6. The beta has been out for a bit for people to test, but if you haven’t done that yet then a trial version is available soon at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop.html.
Creative Cloud is also another big change to connect all of your devices so you can do your work no matter where you want. Click here to watch a video and learn more and see how it works with Photoshop Touch for iOS and Android (which I can’t want to install).

Conclusion
I’m pretty jazzed about the new version of Photoshop. While I’ve only had experience with the beta, I’ve already found the content aware patch tool to be enough to warrant the upgrade to me. Of course, if you have a new camera and plan to shoot RAW then you’ll need Adobe Camera Raw 7, which makes an upgrade pretty much mandatory.

One thing that's confusing about the whole "creative cloud" thing is it isn't just "another big change to connect all of your devices so you can do your work no matter where you want". It's access to pretty much every application Adobe makes for the monthly charge. It's like getting the "Master Collection" for $360/yr (or $600/yr if you don't already own CS3 or better).

I have been using Corel Paintshop Pro for many years and started using Photoshop CS6 a few weeks ago. While its a very powerful program, it is often frustrating to use. Let me mention two items that should be be easy.
Photoshop should remember my last text entry (with a checkbox), instead I had to make an action for adding my signature.
The snap shot feature should have an option to happen automatically. I can't count the number of times I tried to use the art history brush and it would not work. Sometimes it wouldn't work even with a snapshot selected, that may be a bug.
I wish I could turn on color for the icons.
I now have my 744 page book to help and I have watched a lot of videos. Adobe should get some new users to give feedback.
